Descending from the high mountain Coquihalla Connector Highway, a beautiful view of Okanagan Lake comes within sight.

The weather was sunny and clear and we could also see someone boating. A very big difference from the north.
Happy Wednesday.

Hi Linda, yes, we did. We had a bit of snowy rain a couple of times at the high elevations in the mountains but these squalls didn’t last long and we were back in clear conditions. That view coming from the Coquihalla Connector is gorgeous.

Now, that shot says spring has arrived. Love how the colour of the water has changed. Bet you are glad to be home Lynette. Allan

That’s so true, Allan. It was a very welcoming sight. The weather since arrival has been great as well. Cheers.

Nice to see the sunshine in your picture. We’ve been deluged by rain for the past two days. Happy Wednesday, Lynette.

We have been very fortunate. Our weather has been really great, warm and sunny but I understand that we’re supposed to get rain for the weekend. Thanks Sue. Cheers.

Spring in the Okanagan is one of the nicest times of the year. The fall is nice too before the leaves fall. Apple time. I hope you enjoy the warmer temps and that it’s a wee bit warmer when you get back up north.

Thank you very much, Anneli. Having this respite is so great; such a nice break. I’ve been watching the northern weather and it has been quite cold with -20 overnight but it is expected to head into the plus range this week. Cheers.

Thank you very much, Penny. It’s just a two-week break but very much valued and appreciated. I have 6.5 months left before retirement and a permanent return to Penticton. I’m looking forward to that!

Lakes and mountains always touch me, a lot of my earlier memories are filled with them.

When I’m not working in the north, I live in a mountainous area of British Columbia. Retirement is coming at the end of October, so I will be at home able to enjoy the mountains more fully. Mountains are both beautiful and dangerous but I find them somehow relaxing, too.

In the North? Glad retirement is coming, we are enjoying ours and I know you will too.

Yes, I’ve worked in the Northwest Territories for a number of years now. Good to hear that you are enjoying yours; I don’t think I’m going to miss working!

Is it too personal to ask what you do up there. I did a lot of work in alaska in the past so knew a few folks from the fields etc.

I’m CEO of an aviation company. Interesting that you worked in the north as well.

Wow, you must work hard, you are do for retirement. I was a consultant and management trainer.

I work pretty hard but can also tell that I’m running out of energy, so yes, I’m due for retirement (and have earned it). My replacement has been hired and I’m training him over the next six months so my workload will begin to decrease soon! What was your consulting area?

For 25 years I traveled internationally as a seminar speaker in the area of people and productivity – a lot of project managment, as well as finance and accounting. An odd mix but it worked. Along the way I did personal coaching for managers. It was a good life. Thanks for asking.

There’s something different in the spring shades of blue, too. They have more depth and complexity.
