Pink streaks begin to colour the sky at 8:00 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

For the moment I’m enjoying the longer southern days as in NWT, sunrise is only occurring two hours later at 10:00.
Happy Tuesday.

It is amazing how long it takes for sunrise to start coming earlier after the solstice. Here it actually got later for the first week. Will be glad for the longer days of light. Happy Tuesday Lynette. Allan

By the end of January it will start happening quickly in the north which is a good thing right up until it’s still light at midnight and my sleep starts to be affected! I’m just like Baby Bear – I want everything just right. 😉

Despite the ice on the lake, it wasn’t too bad. Cheers.

Lovely. We’re getting a little lighter each day, no matter where we live. 👍

So much better until it’s still broad daylight at midnight. I have blackout drapes but sleeping can still be difficult. That said, I’ve really enjoyed the longer days here in the south. Cheers.
