Oh, the weather outside is frightful🎵
But the fire is so delightful

Um, no thanks! I would rather dream about this.

Lovely fires on a winter’s night are beautiful, but I’ve already seen a lot of snow!
Happy Wednesday.
We just got our first snowfall of the year, so the novelty of it hasn’t worn off yet. We’ll see how I feel after I’m finished shovelling. I do miss the warmth of summer though.

Yes, I heard this morning that you got a sizeable snow dump. I agree, the novelty wears off as soon as you have to dig out! Beautiful, yes, but lots of work.

Happy Wednesday Lynette. So nice that our snow has stopped falling for the last week. Allan

Thank, Allan. Since our temperature has gone up we’ve been getting some snow every day. I keep reminding myself that it’s my last northern winter!

We got our first snow yesterday and it’s still coming down today. However, it’s more like rain with a light touch of snowflake. Very minimal accumulation, but everything is wet. I prefer the fluffy, glistening snow. This stuff makes it so difficult to get my drenched dog dried off before he comes back into the house.
Guess it’s that time for all of us to have a hot cocoa. ☕

Fluffy and glistening is definitely beautiful, and especially when it doesn’t stick around for long, but the advantage of water is that you don’t have to shovel it out of your driveway. 😉 This is my last subarctic winter, so I’m champing at the bit; anxious to have this one be finished. I’m like a kid! But I’ll comfort myself with some hot chocolate; that is definitely a good thing about snow. 🙂

The Okanagan is waiting for you. I hope you make the most of every day up in the frozen north and enjoy that hot chocolate. Every day is precious.

Agreed, Anneli. I understand and am aware that if you aren’t where you are, you’re nowhere. I also know that I’m going to miss the north, too. But I do have my restless periods; that will calm down soon. Cheers.

“If you aren’t where you are, you’re nowhere” – what and interesting way to phrase it. So true. Have a good evening.

I don’t know where I first heard that line, but it’s appropriate!
