The Japanese Maple is a lovely tree. It has a beautiful shape and then turns brilliant red in autumn.

Even in strong autumn winds, it does tend to hold on to its leaves quite well.

Penticton has many of these trees and they are still providing glorious colour!
Happy Thursday. 🙂
So glorious, Lynette. 😍

Japanese maples are among some of my favourite trees and always remind me of when we visited Japan a few years ago. We have a Japanese maple bush outside our front door that looks gorgeous now that it’s fall. I’m hoping to plant a tree version of it in our backyard next spring.

These trees turn such an amazing shade of red. They would add a very festive flair but unfortunately have now lost all their leaves!
