An amber and green maple tree.

One of the last red roses.

Pink and green and yellow around a pond.

There’s a lingering warmth in the air but there are also constant, powerful reminders of what is to come.

Hopefully fall lingers a little longer this year. At least it goes out with a bang with all the pretty colours.

Yes, it certainly does. Fingers crossed that it’s going to be a slooow one, especially in the north!

Thank you. 🙂 It’s such a beautiful time of year before everything gets sort of wet, snowy and mushy. 😉

Won’t be long now and all that will be left is gnarly, leafless fruit trees and snow blowing sideways. But for now, it’s still beautiful.

That is so true, and it’s happening up here now. It has been non-stop raining, and this morning there was a thin layer of ice all over everything (including my steps!).
