I found these beautifully unusual hydrangeas, blue and cream.

And on the same plant, a much more uniform blue, but with hints of lighter blue on some of the petals.

Hydrangeas are such lovely, interesting plants. 🙂

We were marveling at these on our recent visit to Vancouver. Wish they would grow here. Have a great Wednesday Lynette. Allan

I have a few of these on my dining room table (fake so without the scent and ambiance but good memories)

Some of the fake ones are incredibly realistic! A few days ago I was fooled by an artificial orchid; I didn’t realise until someone told me it wasn’t real and I touched it!

I think the variety you can get in a single plant is one of the reasons why hydrangeas are so interesting.

Agreed. They are so changeable, even on the same plant (and so bright and pretty).

They’re really different from so many other flowers.

They definitely are. 🙂 This particular plant was about 3 metres tall and covered in very healthy blooms. So pretty.

Agreed. It’s too bad their blooms don’t last longer.

It is. I’ve taken a lot of photos of them this summer, but they’re so pretty that I can’t help myself …
