I tried to get the “like” button fixed, but here’s what came back from my query:
Hi There,
Thanks for writing, happy to help you.
The like button can only be used by users that are signed in to their WordPress.com account. It is a facility for WordPress.com members only and hence will not be visible to users who login otherwise.
I have been to the North Sea, and yes, it’s different. The Pacific Northwest (from Oregon through to Alaska) has huge forests growing right down to the ocean, and that’s not a familiar sight to most people (or how they envisage an ocean should look).
I like the photo (despite there being no “Like” to click). Where was it taken?

It’s weird because the like button is visible on other posts. Maybe it’s being discontinued.
This was taken off the coast of British Columbia near Powell River. Thanks for your like. 🙂

I am logged into my WordPress.com account, and I don’t see it either. Thank you for telling us where it was!

Yes, it’s odd; a bit of an ongoing mystery. Seems to be visible to some but not others, whether they are logged in or not.

We have the beach about 30 minute drive away but it doesn’t look like that! And the North Sea is always a bit chilly…

Nature is amazing. Yeah it does sound very odd! When did you go to the North sea?

Quite a few years ago now; I had a relative living up that way. I spent a lot of time UK when I was growing up as my mother was English. 🙂

Isn’t there a saying? Something about greener grass? 😉

Very true. Mind you the grass here is very green because of all the rain we get!

Love the mixture of colours along the sandy shore. Looks beautiful. I can almost smell the ocean.

I love the ocean smell. It was a beautiful day and it was shallow and sandy quite far out. A good swimming/paddling beach.

What a beautiful image, Lynette. Makes me want to walk that beach.

It’s a great walking beach (BC has an abundance of them). I hope you’re able to some time after we can travel again. 🙂
