Yes, I definitely was. I just stood there and admired it for a while. It was really something. And not too cold; only about -2C, so quite manageable. 🙂
Oh shudders! I used to live in Dawson Creek a long time ago (for ten years) and the coldest it got was -53 F overnight and by morning when we had to walk to school (thankfully only one block) it had warmed up to -43F. I don’t miss it!
Thank you. 🙂 I’ve spent significant time in Toronto in winter – its cold is quite different, damper. The winter gear required is different. Here, you need a good parka and to make sure nothing is sticking out. It might freeze and snap off. 😉
Beautiful, Lynette. Enjoy your weekend!

Beautiful. Those orange colors are in honor of Halloween.

Thank you. 🙂 Yes, they are definitely Halloween colours – very pumpkiny.

You were there with your camera at the right time! I can feel the chill, but the sun makes me forget about the cold at least for a few seconds.

-2 isn’t too bad, but will it get worse? How much worse, do you think?

It will go to -40C by Christmas and probably -42-45 in January. It will begin to gradually warm up after that. This is my 4th winter in the north. ❄️

Although the winters here are beautiful, I’m not going to miss them either when my contract is up 20 months from now.

Oh yes! It was jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The colours were so intense, and I’m glad they have translated so well for this photo.

Beautiful picture! And a good reminder that I shouldn’t complain too much about the weather in Toronto 🙂

Thank you! 🙂 I had good material and was there at the right time. I like how the sun’s rays seem to be coming through a window.

Thanks, Stuart. I came on this completely by chance, so it was a lucky capture.

Often the best. But you have to be alert to the opportunity, and have the eye to spot it’s potential.
