I found this late blooming rose, along with a couple of others, snugged against a new house build on a lot where there had been an older home.
It’s nice that the plants were kept.
Happy Monday, happy week. 🙂

Thank you! 🙂 Sometimes I get good results and I’m not really sure how they happened. 🙂

I’ve just clicked to follow you (again!) and it said right away, that posts would appear in my reader – no option for email notification. I guess I have to start using the Reader.

I haven’t checked yet today on the email notification from my end (I’m using my phone right now), but when I have a few minutes, I’ll see if I can do anything. 🙂

Gorgeous rose. My rose bush is still in full bloom and almost as tall as me. Which isn’t saying much, since I’m under 5 feet tall (don’t know the the conversion on that).
Happy Monday to you, too. 😊💗

That’s about 1.5 metres and actually quite a tall rose bush, I think. You must have a terrific green thumb!

I have no green thumb and mention that in my post today. Last year was the first time I attempted gardening, because any plants I ever had in the house died. I have none in the house anymore. 🤷♀️

Maybe that’s changing! Your flowers look healthy and bountiful. 🙂

Ah, so pretty! I can almost smell her. 😉

Yes. 🙂 I love the smell of garden roses. The commercial ones don’t seem to have a scent at all.

I read something that said whenever they develop new flowers, say to create a bigger, more long-lasting bloom or more vibrant color, the scent is lost. That’s why the old-fashioned roses have the best fragrance.
Just goes to show, the more we tinker with nature, the more we mess it up!

That’s so true. We humans can’t help but tinker and (often) get in over our heads.

Boy that is a beauty. Very nice. It is always a joy when nature is not chopped down like an inconvenience.
Love ❤️ to you and your family. Joni

It’s sad when builders de-nude a lot because it’s easier. I was happy to see the roses there, among other plants.
