Lovely lavender grows everywhere in the Okanagan.

The scent is carried on the breeze and these pretty green and purple bushes …

… lend lushness to parking and sidewalk planters.
Happy Friday from the lavender of the Okanagan Valley. 🙂

It does. I’ll suddenly notice the scent as I’m busy thinking about something else, and I immediately slow down to enjoy them for a few minutes. They definitely have health benefits!

Yes, they are, and they keep so well when they’re dried, too.

The ones here range from very dark purple, almost blue, to a very light, almost pink colour. 🙂

I love the lavender. It reminds me of the Lavender Festival in Sequim, WA .

Thank you. 🙂 like it very much, too. I always pick a bit of it when passing a plant (they are growing everywhere) and then I leave it in my car – the scent is so lovely.
Great weekend to you, as well. 🙂

I only just realized how well it grows here — our soil is just the right amount of sandy loam. Am now considering devoting my entire yard to lavender! 😀

It grows everywhere here (in B.C’s Okanagan Valley) and is very hardy and drought resistant. It can be used as a herb and of course, the scent is wonderful and it is supposed to bring good luck. 🙂
