Lovely lavender grows everywhere in the Okanagan.

The scent is carried on the breeze and these pretty green and purple bushes …

… lend lushness to parking and sidewalk planters.
Happy Friday from the lavender of the Okanagan Valley. 🙂

Oh, I bet that smells wonderful. Beautiful photos, Lynette!
It does. I’ll suddenly notice the scent as I’m busy thinking about something else, and I immediately slow down to enjoy them for a few minutes. They definitely have health benefits!
Really beautiful.
Yes, they are, and they keep so well when they’re dried, too.

One of my favorite colors in nature!
The ones here range from very dark purple, almost blue, to a very light, almost pink colour. 🙂
I love the lavender. It reminds me of the Lavender Festival in Sequim, WA .
I do, as well. It’s such a comforting scent and they’re so pretty. I love lavender festivals 🙂
Gorgeous images, Lynette. Lavender is so sweet-smelling. I love it.
Thank you. 🙂 I love it as well. It always slows me down which is a good thing.
Lavender scent, I like it! And really beautiful photos Lynette! Great weekend.
Thank you. 🙂 like it very much, too. I always pick a bit of it when passing a plant (they are growing everywhere) and then I leave it in my car – the scent is so lovely.
Great weekend to you, as well. 🙂
I only just realized how well it grows here — our soil is just the right amount of sandy loam. Am now considering devoting my entire yard to lavender! 😀
It grows everywhere here (in B.C’s Okanagan Valley) and is very hardy and drought resistant. It can be used as a herb and of course, the scent is wonderful and it is supposed to bring good luck. 🙂
