It has been a rather dodgy spring and summer also has had an interesting start. Well, not really. Kind of alternating. A couple of days of cold rain followed by a couple of days of sweltering humidity. Really unattractive.
But …
There have been wild roses.
And interesting clouds.
And panting northern hot dogs.
And lots of green growing.

And more wild roses.

But my, it’s been rainy and humid and cold.
Not the best spring/summer, but lots to appreciate.
How about yours where you live?

flowers are blooming & the bears are munching!

Yes – they certainly are! 🙂 Lots of good things to eat around here, but the weather leaves a lot to be desired.

Another reason why there’s not much shooting is the bugs – OMG! They are wall to wall. You will breathe them in if you’re not careful.

Thank you. 🙂
We are having horrible humidity here as well – on the days when it’s not freezing cold and pelting down with rain. And there are a ton of mosquitos. There are three types of weather atm – humid, freezing rain, and bugs. Yikes! 🙂

Winter over here in Australia, but of course not the sort of winter that you would call it that. We think it’s cold when the daytime temp is below 20 celsius!

I work in the far north of Canada (61 degrees north latitude), although nowhere near as far north as you go! Because of the midnight sun, there’s usually a “normal” summer here, if fast, but not this year! It’s mostly been hot and cold raining bugs. 🙂
I used to live in Phoenix, Arizona, so I get what you mean about the temperature differences. I used to be the same – if it was below 15C, it was cold! 🙂

The wild roses are beautiful. Much better, in a way, than cultivated flowers.
See ya–

It’s been a pretty typical summer in the American south. Hot and getting hotter until late afternoon, then thunderstorms. I sweat like Hell without doing anything, but my yard is digging it the most. Here’s a pic:
OK I think that worked, maybe twice. Gotta love being a Luddite.

Hi kennynines,
Unfortunately, your photo didn’t come through. Thanks for trying, though. The weather here has been brutal. By turns sweltering hot humidity, then freezing cold rain, and just for a change, in between we have a bug haze. Nasty!

Those wild roses make the rain and humidity worth going out for…such delicate captures on your part.

Love the Alberta Wild Roses. They bring a spot of colour to even the cloudiest of days. Allan
