I am away in the far north at the moment: 68Β° north latitude, to be exact, in Inuvik, Northwest Territories.
We are in between the national days of Canada and the United States, so, I hope all you Canucks had a fabulous Canada Day, π¨π¦ and to our great American cousins, I hope you have a brilliant July Fourth πΊπΈ.
Happy Fireworks Days!
What a gorgeous photo, Lynette! I hope you had a great celebration!
I actually had to work but there was some time for fun as well. Hope you are having a great Fourth. πΊπΈ
I’m with Jill on the photo. This looks like a great place to get away. I bet there are about a zillion stars at night (If you can stay up late enough for it to get dark).
Thank you! π No darkness (yet). This is the land of the all night sun. π What will be spectacular at night is the Aurora which will be casting its visible undulations (you can see stars through it though) starting the end of this month. π
how are the bugs besides BIG?
I’d have to cover the windows to get to sleep.
You have no idea. They eat bug spray for lunch. π I do cover the windows, but still I get affected by it. The body knows …
When I was far north I could hear a constant buzz around me head.At any given moment I could quickly grab the air around my head & almost always capture a bug!
That drives me nuts. π€ͺ I hate it when they’re whining around my head. Really, really hate it.
ya,I got use to it after a few weeks.
Thanks, Lynette–to you too, albeit late!
Thanks! π
