Yes, those are the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis. When I lived in Northwest Territories I saw them frequently. They really are beautiful, almost like an undulating curtain in the sky.

Yes, very true but I now live much further south and also in the mountains and both are geographical reasons why it’s presently much more difficult for me to see the aurora. Now I enjoy photos like Bernie’s instead.

Thanks, Allan. She certainly does! I like how she framed her photo, as well. We don’t really see them here because we’re too far south and also because of the mountains but I was able to see them fairly often when I was in the north. I always found watching them to be very relaxing.

I love seeing Northern Lights. I used to see them often when I lived in Dawson Creek, but not so much down here in the south of BC.

Yes, we’re much too far south to get a good view of them. I also used to see them often when I was in NWT but now I instead enjoy photos like Bernie’s. 😊
