Layers

Although it was reasonably warm out, it was otherwise an extremely windy, rainy and overcast day – seeing across the street was about the most of it – until evening arrived and the weather started to break.

First it was like this …

… but then the cloud layers started to spread …

… and the sun began to peek out.

It was still windy, but a clearing sky was rather wonderful.

Happy Saturday.

  1. Can’t wait for those spring winds to come in and shift the clouds and currents. The ever changing skies are mesmerizing to watch, except maybe here this morning. We had freezing rain all night long. Yay, January showers. Happy Saturday Lynette. Allan

    1. Thanks, Allan. I would much rather have snow than freezing rain. It can be so dangerous. Those spring winds will be very welcome although we have to get through rainy February first. In the meantime, the clouds are usually interesting and yes, mesmerising to watch. Cheers.

    1. That’s good weather news! So much of the country has really been whacked by serious winter weather this year. Warmer and some sun is always pretty nice. It seems that lately we’re socked in by heavy cloud and rain during the day with some clearing in the evenings, so we’re getting a bit of relief from the grey wall!

    1. Thank you very much, Anneli. 😊 We lately seem to be in a pattern of very heavy cloud and rain during the day followed by clearing in the early evenings, so we’re getting a break from the grey wall. The temperatures are good too. Around 8, so not too cold.
