Shimmer

We finally had a break in clouds and a little sun!

I understand that this is not for long; we will be back to our regularly scheduled monsoon-like conditions very soon.

But while it’s here, I’m definitely going to enjoy it!

Happy Sunday.

    1. Very much so, Allan. I go walking in any weather but it’s particularly great when we get a glimpse of blue sky or a little sun. Today we luckily have some weak sun but weak or not, it’s such a nice break from the monsoonish rain!

      1. It is very round, so cool! That’s higher than I thought it was, Lynette. That may be roughly the height of the foothills that are three miles west of my home. Ice cream, yum! Sugar-free, please. 😋

        1. We have very tall ones all around us that go up to 2590 metres (8479 ft) but because they’re old, quite rounded mountains, they somehow look shorter. I guess we always think of mountains as having jagged peaks but here those peaks have been worn down. Yes, ice cream is one of life’s lovely things. 🙂

  1. Beautiful! Well, we are part of the historic flooding here in Washington state. Our house was not affected, but roads we use are closed. More rain on the way Monday–but then, things should clear up.

    1. Thank you very much, Cecelia. 😊 The B.C. coast and Washington have really been walloped with yes, more unfortunately on the way. Good to hear that your house isn’t affected. We’re in the southern interior so we’re only getting the overflow but it’s still a lot. Yes, fingers crossed that it clears up after Monday. Cheers.

  2. Pretty break from it. Sadly it is raining here right now. Ugh. I hate when winter does this -36 to +3 in 2 days. I was never a fan of chinooks when I lived in Calgary and I am still not although I am not sure these are chinooks as much as climate change. The temp forecast for Thursday this week. Yep -28.

    1. Your weather has been terrible with all the back and forth. Crazy. I used to live in southern Alberta and there were times when the chinooks caused the rise but other times when it just got warmer. I think climate change is to blame for a lot of this. We’re getting so much more rain than usual, too. It’s nuts.
