Lately we’ve had lots of rain with only fleeting moments of sun …

… leading to some rather dramatic skies …

… with scudding, luminous grey clouds that eventually obscured …

… and began to enclose the sky once more.
Happy Wednesday.

Thank you very much, Thomas. While doing errands today I managed to hit the sunny bits and avoid the rain!

Rain is good. And the dramatic skies make for some great pictures. We’re in for a bunch of rain tomorrow (25mm) and a bit on Friday.

It definitely is, but we have been getting so much of it and often driven by fierce winds, too. There have been lots of storms this month. We have been getting a few nice days though; they’re very precious. It’s been only a month since we were getting temperatures in the mid-30s; the weather has certainly turned around! 25 mm is a lot. Be sure to have your umbrella handy!

Tis the season for rain which brings moody, dramatic skies. Beautiful photos, Lynette.

They always say that the autumn weather straightens around after the new moon in October. Obviously, this year is the exception. Maybe a La Nina wrinkle. Have a great day Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan. Yes, I’ve read that we’re being affected by La Nina and that’s why October has been so wet and windy. It’s quite an abrupt switch from the dry mid-30s weather of September in every way except the wind!

This is in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. It’s a very scenic region. 😊 Cheers.

Clouds are cool but only if they don’t cover the entire sky.

The sun tried valiantly to get through but that didn’t last long. We’re heading toward winter and so I have to get used to about six weeks of cloud that settles right into the valley. It can be also be beautiful but I’m glad it doesn’t last any longer than it does!

6 weeks…Prozac here I come! I can hardly handle 6 days of it.

It isn’t wall-to-wall but it does get very cloudy about 90 % of that time. When it gets to us we go up to Apex (a nearby ski resort) for lunch. It’s high enough above the valley cloud so that always helps!
