   1. We are a bit cooler today (high of 25 expected) and sunny today after a couple of rainy, cloudy ones, but I’m happy with that rather than the scorchers. Enjoy your good weather. Cheers.

8. The sunflower is my favorite! We planted a bunch of sunflowers at our old house in Ohio when Alex was born–they were just glorious.

11. This is the zenith of summer, isn’t it? Everything absolutely full-tilt. I was admiring a whole swath of rudebekia today by False Creek, knee-high flowers with sunflower attitude!
