They were pretty! Yes, I’ve lived in the subarctic and understand about the midnight sun. Fireworks would be much better in autumn or winter.

I like what you’ve done with these firework shots, Lynette. The temptation is generally to shoot wide, but your telephoto shots really grab the colour and spectacle. Great stuff!

Fireworks shows over water are the best. We did not stay up for the fireworks here, but I heard them at 11 and then somebody let off another burst at midnight. A good way to end Canada Day with a bang. Happy Thursday Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan. I think so too. Ours start at ten. There were lots of children -up late of course – and very excited. It was amazing how quiet everyone became except for ohhhs and awwws and the sound of the fireworks themselves. Yes, a good way to end the day. Cheers.
