There are often very ordinary but pretty things to see as we travel through our days. We usually just have to take a second to notice.

A pretty snowbell tree with bee …

… and a lace-leaf maple that has almost completed its spring metamorphosis from red to green.
Spring’s lovely sights aren’t to be missed.
You’re absolutely right how there is beauty all around us. You just have to pay attention and slow down every once in a while. That snowbell tree is gorgeous.

Easy for me to say and I understand why many people don’t or can’t; it’s pretty hard to keep up with all the stuff we have to do. But we do need to try, at least. Yes, there is a grove of snowbell trees in one of the parks. They’re so pretty, aren’t they?

Spring is a time to stir the memories and the hearts with rebirth. We were lucky?? enough to see spring in B.C. and Alberta this year. All too soon, it slips into summer and these days, the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer take on new meaning. Happy Saturday Lynette. Allan

Thank you very much, Allan. I think that’s lucky, although all those fires aren’t. I hope your air quality is okay. I remember how bad 2023 was here in Penticton. There were times when visibility was incredibly low and everyone was wearing masks to go outside. I agree with you about the slipping into summer and the new take on lazy, hazy and crazy.

It’s often a surprise to see the beauty of these ordinary things when we take the time to really “see” when we look.

I am always a bit surprised when I stop to really “see.” Of course, easier for me now that I’m retired, too!

OMG! I didn’t even realize WP had changed it. I did not knowingly do that. It’s from ages ago and I have way more wrinkles now, but I’m vain enough to leave it for a while.

It’s funny how WP does strange things like that! No worries, Anneli, I have more wrinkles too. 😊

There’s no lack of beauty if we just slow down a bit and look. You’ve provided fine examples!

Thank you very much, Belinda. 😊 Definitely. It’s unfortunately easier said than done when most people are so busy, but I think it’s important to make the effort. Our health benefits from it a lot. 😊
