Since today is election Monday, I think we can all do with a little mellowing out, especially after having performed our civic duty.

Think of a quiet place to sit in the warm spring sun …

… or a calming view ..

… or lovely pink blossoms …

… and remember that this process is almost over.
It’s a good thing to have a little mental breather before we get on with the election returns that will start happening this evening!
Happy Election Monday.
May the best persons win in your elections. 👍🏼

Excellent idea, nature is a nice counterbalance. Such a pretty flower photo 😊

Thank you very much, Belinda. 😊 The picture shows a type of plum blossom (although I don’t know which one). They are so pretty and yes, should help to counterbalance all the political stuff. I always try to turn to nature when I feel stressed or agitated; for me it usually is centring. Cheers.

All I hope is that the voters make an informed choice, rather than voting for the uniform colour. As we have seen with down South, promising to cut prices on necessary goods is just WORDS. The coming months will prove just how difficult it is for one country to improve costs in a global society and eben harder in an isolationist one. Happy Monday Linda. Allan

Thanks, Allan. I agree. Informed choices (and not from those misinformation bureaus and bots – the antithesis of “informed”). Yes, many of them are good at wordsmithing and pivoting, not much else; they certainly don’t have anything else of public value going on for them. The country to south of us is unfortunately headed for economic obscurity; we have to make sure we aren’t dragged into its undertow.

Yes, after all the frustration around trying to cast your ballot – yes, usually the hard part is figuring out for whom – you will need a little zen!

I did the advance voting, so tonight I will watch the results on TV with a bowl of popcorn at hand. I just hope I don’t end up choking on my popcorn.

We’re off in a few minutes to do our bit and then have a walk and breakfast. We’ll be doing the same this evening and also hoping for a non-choking event! Cheers.

Nature is always good medicine after politics. That river photo is beautiful.

It sure is, Adele. Actually, that’s a small pond in one of the public gardens. It’s very pretty, even on overcast, January days.

Getting some fresh air and spending time outside is always good to soothe the soul, especially on a beautiful day. Gosh, the election seems so long ago now! But I’m glad it was a favourable outcome!

I always feel better after some time outside, even when the weather is crappy. It does seem long ago, but it’s only less than two weeks! Agreed; I’m very relieved at the outcome. Cheers.
