The header picture was taken when we visited the Caribbean but the other two are from one of our nearby lakes. I see the sailors out there as a turning point in the weather!
I never get seasick or motion sick at all. One time I was on a three masted schooner on a very rough sea where even the crew was becoming sick. Me, the captain, first mate and a couple of others were fine. I was more worried that we were going to heel too far!
It’s funny that the Captain got sick on a ferry! Our bodies can do strange things …
Yes, in between the rain storms we have had good days where quite a few boats of various types have been out! Yes, sail boats always look so great, I find. 😊
It sure does, doesn’t it? I used to sail quite a bit on Lake Ontario but not for a long time, now. I got caught in a seriously bad storm that turned me off for a while so you could say I don’t care much for the wind either!
That’s neat that you used to sail. I imagine it would be scary being out on the water during a storm though. My husband wants to learn to sail. He also gets seasick really easily. So not sure sailing will work out for him!
My son is an excellent sailor but he also gets seasick. However that only happens if he’s a passenger. When he’s doing the sailing himself he never becomes sick (which really points to the power of mind over matter!). I did enjoy sailing but the incident on Lake Ontario put me off for a few years and then I never truly returned to it. I did enjoy it, though.
Happy Thursday!

I haven’t done any sailing in a long time now but yes, I always enjoyed it.

Loving the deep blue and turquoise colours of the sea. I imagine it’s breezy. But lovely.

Spring is a breeze. We were out by Cattle Point in Oak Bay yesterday and the sailboats were out there too. Cheers Lynette. Allan

Oak Bay is beautiful and seeing sail boats is such a good sign of spring! I hope you’re enjoying your Victoria visit. Cheers, Allan.

Looks beautiful, but my stomach likes me to be a dry land person.

That’s unfortunate, Anneli. My son is a good sailor as long as he’s doing the sailing. If he’s not, his stomach gets very wobbly.

I can tolerate a small boat (12foot skiff) but not a bigger boat. Don’t know why that is.

That is funny. Usually it’s the other way around. At least you’re able to get out on the water to some extent. It can be so great. Cheers.

The Captain never gets seasick (except once on the BC Ferry). I guess it’s a different motion.

The header photo is of an ocean but the others are from Okanagan Lake. 😊

The sunshine always makes the water look so beautiful. I’m not a fan of the wind though, especially my skin!
