In anticipation of the warmer months and because so much of the country is presently – and quite literally – struggling through massive snow banks and/or mentally just trying to fight off the icicles and snow flakes, here are a few summer pictures.

After taking a look through my collection of flower pictures, I definitely feel a lot brighter!
Happy Wednesday.
Like peace and sanity in the world, these colours are a distant dream. Really cold for the next few days. Seems winter is like winter this year. Hope the spring will be like spring. Happy Wednesday Lynette. Allan

Thank you, Allan. I agree. Peace and sanity do feel like a distant dream. Yes, I saw that your weather is very cold for the next few days. We’re colder than usual too but at a high of -3 nowhere near as chilly as you are. Stay warm, Allan.

I definitely am, but when I go out for my daily walk I’m quickly reminded of the reality!

Thank you for these lovely pictures, Lynette! With a miserable week ahead, weatherwise, they give us something to look forward to.

You’re welcome, Sue. That very cold system seems to be descending over much of North America. Here in southern B.C. we aren’t nearly as chilly as the rest of the country but it’s still unusually cold for February. Looking through my photos made me feel a bit brighter about the coming spring, though! Stay warm.

Wow! You’re colder than we are! We’re at -5 with a high of -3. Glad the photos helped take your mind off the weather.

Most welcome reminders of what’s on the way (after the 30-40 cms of snow in the current forecast 😒. Lovely!

You’re getting buried! Yowza! I’m glad the summer photos helped. I hope you don’t have to go out in that (or do too much shovelling). Ugh.

We’ve had only a few dustings this winter, until today. Six inches are accumulating as I type. It’s pretty. The dog loves it, and I enjoy playing in it with him. ❄☃

We haven’t had much either; only two little snow falls that have remained on the ground for just a couple of hours. The snow is all in the central or eastern parts of the continent, it seems, and lots of it! Ontario is supposed to get 30-40 cm (12-24 inches) of heavy wet snow in the next 24! I really wouldn’t want to have to shovel that! Yes, I bet your dog loved it. Mine always did too, although I never understood why. They love to roll in it and stick their noses in it to the point where they sneeze. They’re clearly having the best time!

Such pretty flowers. I feel a lot brighter too. Our kind neighbours cleared our driveway with their snowblower this morning, which made my day. We’re expecting another 15-25cm this weekend!!

It’s so great when you have neighbours who will do such lovely things as that! Yes, I saw that you’re getting another load – it’s going to be interesting when it all starts melting! I’m glad the pictures helped you to feel brighter. Every bit helps!
