When I was a child I used to enjoy looking for animal shapes among the clouds.

I’ve recently enjoyed doing that again with these streamer clouds that like to hug the mountain sides. What do you see?

I see an elegant snow goose getting ready to take flight.
Happy Wednesday.
Ha! I saw a herd of stampeding buffalos, but I love the photos.

You’re welcome, Lynette. Down the road from my folks’ place there is a Canada flag flying next to the US flag. 😎🇨🇦🇺🇸

Fluffy mountains first come to my mind. Then when I read what you could see, I was saying to myself “I couldn’t…” Didnt get to finish sentence to myself as just as I was going to say “… see that” I could then see what you see. 😊

I love “fluffy mountains.” 😊 The mountains here adjacent to the valley are very old and rounded, so the clouds around would indeed make them fluffy! Snow geese are so beautiful with their black tipped wings.

As I noticed, watching the clouds for animals was a hobby for many children.

We still watch the clouds and areas surrounding trails for shapes and it is amazing what the mind can see. Happy Wednesday Lynette. Allan

Thank you, Allan. Agreed; it sure is amazing. And not only fun, imagining makes new neurons, reducing the possibility of dementia.

Before I saw your goose comment, I was going to say, a very large and beautiful swan heading towards me

I can definitely see the swan, too. They are both such gorgeous birds.

I see the snow goose. I still like to look at shapes in the clouds too, especially on a hike or a long road trip. Brings me back to my childhood I guess. Maggie

I used to do that a lot when I was a child but only recently have come back to it. It’s actually a really good exercise for your brain as it causes new neurons to develop which can reduce dementia.

Sounds fun! It makes you wonder why we stop doing creative things like this when we become older.

For many of us it’s displaced by our busy lives. Two years ago I simply didn’t have time to just let my brain go like that. Research shows that it’s also really good for your brain. Imagining causes us to develop more neurons which can reduce dementia.

You’re right. I actually just finished listening to a podcast on Alzheimer’s and how it can be prevented. One of the ways is through brain exercises and keeping the mind engaged. It was interesting to hear that it’s not something that just happens overnight, but rather develops gradually over many years from things like poor diet, lack of exercise, non-restorative sleep, stress and not challenging our brain.

This is brilliant. Even I recently wrote something related to that on my blog.

I do that quite often – look for shapes in the clouds. I also see them in my tile floor, which has subtle, swirly shapes here and there. Clouds are fun though because they are always changing.

One of the things I’m realising (again) is the old saying reminding us of “all things in moderation.” If we’re constantly racking up years of poor diet, exercise, sleep and stress, our bodies can’t recover properly and they eventually go into decline in some way or other.
