Because we’re in Victoria’s very temperate climate right now, we’re seeing lots of late-flowering plants and shrubs that are absolute December delights.

Happy Friday.

They’re so delicate and pretty and especially nice to see this late in the year.

The late blooming flowers were gorgeous during our stay, even saw a few cherry blossoms by the totem poles. If you get a chance, go see Finnerty Gardens. We did not make it there this trip, but it is gorgeous. Allan

Thanks for the suggestion/reminder, Allan. I haven’t visited there for a long time and actually didn’t think of it this time. It’s great to see the flowers still blooming here. Cheers.

Thanks, Maggie; I’ll see how many photos I can collect. 😊 I used to live in southern Alberta and know how drab it becomes – or white, too!

It definitely is, Anneli. The heather pictures are from a large area of it that just looked so pretty.

Tough plant and so pretty when it’s in bloom.

I agree, and especially if it’s overcast and grey.

Very pretty. How lovely to still find some flowers given the time of the year.

I found those in Victoria where the temperature was between 9-12. It doesn’t get any snow or temperatures below 0 so lots of plants will continue to bloom all winter, including those that only start blooming in December (the pink hesperantha pictured)! Cheers.
