Red and Gold

I regularly walk near these white ash trees and two days ago, they were green …

… but they have now donned their autumn dress in preparation for their winter sleep.

In the meantime, we get to enjoy these gorgeous colours.

A beautiful interlude.

Happy Monday.

    1. Thanks Allan. These trees are in Okanagan Lake Park which is maintained by the city. They have a sort of leaf vacuum that also mulches and seems rather efficient. I never used anything like that, though. It was always an old-fashioned rake with – depending on my age and/or inclination – cocktails or hot chocolate afterwards!

    1. I was very surprised at how quickly they changed, Jude. I could tell that they were about to but I expected it to be slower. I like how these trees are red on the outside but look gold when looking up into their tops from next to the trunk.

    1. The colours right now are very vibrant and the weather just right to accentuate them. Sorry to hear that you’re not getting the usual autumn colours; possibly they will intensify if you get some colder weather. I’ve fixed your comment. I hate making mistakes like that, too. So irritating.
