    1. They sure are. We have the same species here in Canada as they were introduced about 200 years ago. They have integrated well without causing deleterious effects; they like to occupy grasslands and aren’t in direct competition with other species. I saw many of them when I lived on the prairies. Our native “partridge,” which is actually a grouse, occupies woodlands.
