Our local duck flock has gathered in their favourite creek to rest and sleep.

There was some sleepy chatting, but mostly there was a lot of settling and snoozing.

Well fed and comfortable, they seemed to be doing well.
Happy Saturday.

Great to see they made it through the cold snap Lynette. IT was a day full of birdsong here yesterday, with temps around +5C. The black capped chickadees were happy. Have a great Saturday. Allan

Thanks, Allan.
They sure did. We’re at +7 today and it’s clear we’re recovering from that mad cold snap. I haven’t seen any chickadees but the little quail are running around everywhere. So great to see and hear them. Spring isn’t far!
I still haven’t seen any fish in the Japanese garden pond as there’s still a layer of ice; I hope they made it.

They must be enjoying the warmer temperatures as well 😊

I think they must be; that cold snap we had was awfully cold for them. I’m enjoying the warmer temperatures too. 😊

The next best thing to contented cows is contented ducks, which are very hardy, but cows need to be kept dairy happy for best results.

Hahaha. 😊 These ducks were at least well fed through our cold snap and snow storm, but I’m sure they’re happy it’s warmer!

No one allows them to go hungry, so they at least don’t have that problem, but I bet they’re much happier with the warmer temperatures!
