The storm that passed a couple of days ago was quickly followed by another. I was awakened in the night to what sounded like a freight train outside my window, but turned out to be pounding rain and shrieking wind.

Earlier in the evening, I took a shot of an underlit tree with the rain pouring around it. With the addition of some soap an outside shower would have been completely possible!

On the beach, Poseidon and Triton were whipping up some oceanic discontent. We didn’t stay long and were happy to go inside before the worst came barrelling through!
Happy Monday.
Sounds like an intense storm!

It was really something! This wasn’t even classified as a low-level tropical storm, but it was very powerful. An actual tropical storm (or category one hurricane) would be scary indeed.

I hope the weather clears up for you soon. Happy Monday, Lynette.

Thanks, Sue. Today is beautiful, so it seems to have turned a corner. We’re also heading back to Toronto tomorrow, so we’re able to enjoy our last few hours. Cheers.

That looks really heavy. Wild rain makes me nervous though it shouldn’t.

It was extremely heavy at times; this picture doesn’t really do it justice. I think most heavy rain is pretty safe, but I became worried that we might be heading for a tropical storm since it intensified so much during the night. Turned out to be okay, though.

And I thought it was wet in Vancouver. It rained most of the weekend here, but we still walked in the rain anyway. Have a great week Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan.
You would not have wanted to walk in this – the accompanying wind became quite high; the gusts must have been around 60 km or so. There was the danger of being whacked by a flying coconut!

Nice to be inside looking out 😏

Whoa! That looks like a bucketing rain. I hate strong wind, makes me nervous.

It sure was! I had more than a few moments of concern when the storm became worse and the sound of it so loud!

That looks like one heck of a downpour! Good thing it was late at night and you were indoors.

It was really something – just thundering straight down. We were very happy to watch it from inside!
