A Week of Flowers – Day Three

This post is inspired by Cathy at Words and Herbs to help chase away the winter blahs.

I love hydrangeas, including the panicle hydrangeas that bloom toward the end of summer.

Hydrangea colours are always interesting, but over the life of the blooms this variegated variety will eventually become more uniform.

I like how each frond is made up of tiny blooms.

Summer will return, but in the meantime we have great pictures!

Thanks for the terrific idea, Cathy.

    1. Thank you very much. 🙂 They are very popular in the Okanagan Valley and successive waves (and varieties) of them will start appearing in May and through to September. They are so gorgeous. Cheers.

    1. Hi Linda, yes, this one is next to an older building and must be about 3 metres tall. The panicle hydrangea is a late bloomer (end of Aug to beginning of Sept) and when I first noticed it around Aug 27 or so, it was covered in blooms. So pretty.
