There are still lots of late bloomers around.

They’re getting lost a bit in the abundant colour show that our trees and bushes are putting on right now, but they are still pretty and lovely to see.

These flowers were in a neighbourhood garden bed, many of which still look appealing despite their seasonal decline.

Happy Wednesday.

My wife once wore BLOOMERS, but not of late. 😀

Hahaha. 😁 Good one. Late bloomers are hardy, though. 😉

Very true, Neil. This group started blooming in May, though. It’s about time for them to pack it in until spring.

Enjoyed your blooms Lynette. Lookng pretty drab here, since I pulled the petunias out. Have a great Wednesday. Allan

Thanks Allan. I suspect that these will be trimmed soon as well. We’re expecting our first frost tonight, so they won’t last long now. Our walk yesterday was very brisk, an indicator of things to come.

Enjoy these late blooms while you can. Our coneflowers have been done for several weeks now. I’ve started to trim back some of our plants in preparation for (dare I even say it?) the winter.

Yuck. I don’t want to hear the word but we have to accept its arrival. I noticed yesterday that the blooms were still there in the morning but had been trimmed by late afternoon. We just had our first frost, so I think we have to start making the best of it. At least I’m no longer in the north where a friend reported -14 yesterday. Shiver.
