These red and yellow European ash trees provide a sharp visual counterpoint to the fantastic autumnal blue sky.
Tall and imposing, they are presently at the height of their colour.
These dramatic leaves won’t be around for long, but I plan to enjoy them as much as possible!

The blue skies right now are so much appreciated after all that wildfire smoke. Here, the colours were more golden, but still striking. Happy Sunday Lynette. Allan

Agreed, Allan. The fires are all out or under control, I think. What a crazy season it has been. Unbelievable and supposed to get worse.
The colours are very intense here right now which I intend to enjoy as it’s supposed to rain starting tomorrow. Cheers.

We have some leaves that bright, but with all the moisture this year, too many developed a fungus and dropped brown leaves. Sigh.

We have had the opposite problem. I’ve seen quite a few heat-stressed trees where the leaves just started curling up and turning brown. It appears we have had such a season of extremes all over N America.

We have had some gorgeous colours lately although we had rain yesterday (not a bad thing as we’re still really dry). The sky in particular has been the most amazing blue.
