Thank you, Steve. I’m glad that I’ve been enjoying the sunsets as we now have forest fire smoke rolling in toward the end of the day. It’s a big one straddling the border with Washington about 50 km (30 miles) away. There’s apparently some control over it now as it was threatening a town on the Canadian side. The fires have been so bad this year.
Thanks, Allan. Agreed – that makes for some very atmospheric photos. In this photo it’s just ordinary haze, but since the weekend our evenings are dominated by smoke from the fire near Osoyoos when the wind does its shift. At least the days are clear. Cheers.
We have been fortunate for the most part in that we were getting occasional showers but that seems to have tapered off now. We definitely are going to need some good soakings.
Lovely end to a day, Lynette. A beautiful sunset at the lake.

This has been a terrible fire season. I fear we will see many more like it.

Agreed. It’s thought that these fires might continue well into the autumn, too.

Hazy hills at sunset are always my favourite. Better if the haze is not smoke, but, these days?? Happy Thursday Lynette. Allan

Very much so. The evenings are gorgeous although right now we’re getting evening smoke from the fire near Osoyoos.

One good thing about the winter rains – they end the fires.

I always enjoy your shares of our valley and it’s nice to have a fellow blogger I know in town.

Thank you very much, Dave. I am settling into permanent life in Penticton after my years of working in the north. It’s lovely to be here. 🙂
