The wine grapes are becoming plumper and plumper as they bask in the warmth and enjoy the occasional showers.

This healthy-looking bunch is tucked safely among its protective leaves at the vineyard shown above.
Happy Tuesday.

Nice photos as always. I just finished a great book “Wine & War.” About the wineries of France during the German occupation, it gave me a new awareness of the place wine has in our cultures, so much more that just a beverage.

Thank you very much. And thanks for the title – that sounds like something I would like to read. Wine production is such a major industry here and there are vineyards everywhere. Cheers.

It was such an enjoyable read, I learned so much about WWII. If you read it I will look forward to your thoughts.

Great looking vineyard and bunch. Do you ever get to stomp a few? 🙂

Hahaha. 🙂 I get to drink a few. The stomping, not so much. I would stain my feet. 😉

Looks like it might be a “grape” harvest this year. Love the patterns on the water beyond. Happy Tuesday Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan. Hahaha. 🙂 The grapes haven’t been exposed to smoke taint (although that whole issue is controversial – does it cause flavour changes? Maybe not.) about which some industry people have been worried.
I agree about the lake. It almost looks as if there’s an ice skim, but there definitely isn’t!

I am reminded of my maternal grandmother’s grape vines…and her homemade wine.

That sounds like a very pleasant memory for you. I’m glad this post reminded you. Cheers.

All the more reason to taste test some of the wine afterwards to see if it actually was a good harvest 🙂

Totally agree! We’re planning some autumn tastings and I’m looking forward to those now. We had visitors for a bit and I developed some winery fatigue!
