These grapes won’t be mature for at least two months, but in the meantime they’re nestled safely in the foliage.

Happy Thursday.

We have wild grapes (sometimes called fox grapes) in the yard and they are looking like it’ll be a good year. Happy Thursday, Lynette!

Thank you, Steve. These are growing at one of our favourite wineries but I didn’t check to find out what type they are. Smoke taint from forest fires can be an issue, but so far so good!

Hoping for a good vintage for the valley vineyards. Happy Thursday Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan. These grapes are growing at a winery that produces a fantastic sparkler (M calls it “cream sofa for adults”); a perfect summer sipper. Cheers. 🥂

My maternal grandmother grew grapes…bluish-purple ones, red ones & green ones. She made the best homemade wine.

It used to be quite common I think as my grandfather also grew wine grapes (and according to my dad, produced major porch-climber!). Glad to hear your grandmother made lovely wines that you seem to remember well. These little ones are growing at a favourite winery of ours.
