A Profusion of Azaleas

These white azaleas (also known as white rhododendrons) are almost finished blooming but are still active in micro-locations where it has perhaps been a little cooler or a little more shaded until recently.

I love how extravagantly rich and showy they are; they hold nothing back!

Happy Monday.

    1. I come from Rodie country, never have seen anything like these. I grew up in Oregon where one of the great places to visit in the spring is are The Rododndrohen Test Gardens. Love these though. I guess I did not know there was a connection between roddies and azaleas.

      1. Azaleas are a type of rhododendron (I’m not sure which came first, though; I assume the rhododendron 😉). I would love to visit those gardens. I used to live in a house in Germany where the yard was full of rhododendrons – so stunningly beautiful.
