It’s very cold out right now with our subarctic temperature hovering around -40C (-40F), so it’s time to think of warm fireplaces with comfortable chairs and good books.

Thank you, Linda. Yup, it’s cold! 🥶 And it’s been colder than this actually – I’ve experienced -43C here before. I’ve often wondered how the little animals like rabbits and squirrels manage to survive this extreme cold, and even the moose and deer must find it difficult. Staying inside is a good thing!

That’s so nice. I agree, February (and March, too) are always trying to hang on, sort of like guests who won’t leave. They have to firmly be sent home.
