It’s very cold out right now with our subarctic temperature hovering around -40C (-40F), so it’s time to think of warm fireplaces with comfortable chairs and good books.

Happy Saturday. Stay warm.

Yikes, that’s cold! Sitting by the fire sounds comfortable and cozy and a great way to stay warm. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you, Linda. Yup, it’s cold! 🥶 And it’s been colder than this actually – I’ve experienced -43C here before. I’ve often wondered how the little animals like rabbits and squirrels manage to survive this extreme cold, and even the moose and deer must find it difficult. Staying inside is a good thing!
Still going above 0 here today and tomorrow, but snow and cold are coming. The curse of February, always dangling spring just out of our reach. Stay warm Lynette. Allan
That’s so nice. I agree, February (and March, too) are always trying to hang on, sort of like guests who won’t leave. They have to firmly be sent home.
A little break down south will be welcome after this.
Definitely! My leave is six weeks away and will be very welcome.
Ah, I miss a beautiful wood fireplace such as this – love this photo and thank you for sharing it with us! Stay warm and maybe pop a marshmallow on a stick! 🙂
You are very welcome. 🙂 I agree that there is nothing better than a wood-burning fireplace when it’s cold; so comforting and relaxing.
Nice fire. Absolutely the best heat.
Definitely. A wood-burning fireplace is so appealing and comforting.
Oh my!!! That’s cold. Stay warm. At least there is beauty to be had inside as well!
Yes, it’s definitely cold! 🥶Agreed, and that kind of cold generates a very cozy environment at home. Cheers.
So cold! Time for a warm fire and a good book.
Oh yes, for sure. Time to just hunker down and stay warm and fed.
Oooooo…fireplace.
We have been in the high 60s, low 70s. Spring is coming.
That’s so great. 🙂 Spring is on the way at my home which is a lot farther south, as well. I’ll be taking some leave in a few weeks to enjoy some of it. Cheers.
