Decks are a great place to have your plants growing. Last year, rather than just the usual flowers on the deck, I grew tomatoes, English cucumbers, and several kinds of peppers on the deck. It was fun, and more easy to see them grow every day.
They also keep bugs away, including mosquitoes! You can buy a variety now that is odourless, but you don’t want those. It’s that distinct marigold scent that the bugs don’t like (and chipmunks and rabbits, too). Happy planting!
Thank you. A lovely way to start a Monday!

They are so frilly and bright. Lovely in a garden. It won’t be long before they’ll be up. Cheers.

I don’t think I’ve looked at marigolds closely enough in the past. That’s beautiful.

This is one of the large ones; there are quite a few varieties of them. They will grow almost anywhere and they always look so pretty. Cheers.

Yes, for sure, and especially out your way. Next year I will be able to get my deck garden going; I haven’t had one in a few years now. Cheers.

That’s so great! I’ve done that before and growing them that way can work really quite well. Cheers.

What a pretty marigold. I’ll be planting some of these soon to help deter those pesky rabbits and chipmunks.
