    1. This one has a very heavy winter coat, so he’s probably not much bigger than his southern cousins. I’m always amazed by the colour variation. Northern foxes range from red to black and silver with everything in between.

    1. The foxes in southern Canada are red or reddish-blond while the northern ones are reddish-black and black or silver black. They are so beautiful! This one looks big because he’s wearing a very thick winter coat, but they aren’t very tall, about the same height as a medium-sized dog.
