Thank you! I took that photo at 9 p.m. two weeks ago. It was just starting to cloud over after a very sunny day. We are quite far north, so our daylight hours are becoming very long now. Presently, sunrise is 6 and sunset is 9.
It is melting! Our temperatures have been above 0 (32F) for several days now. It’s bright, sunny and warming. This has been such a long winter and with covid just so gloomy. Now, about all that water… 😉
I am happy to announce that it has warmed up! Melting everywhere (a bit concerning because we had more snow than usual and it’s melting very quickly)! Lots of lovely warm sun starting and of course our daylight hours are now at 15, so it won’t be long.

It has started! 12 C today and 11 yesterday. All that snow is quickly turning into water and it’s sunny and bright. I am so happy!

I remember the excitement of finding the first “bare” pebbles as the spring run-off exposed the earth beneath the snow.

The snow makes the lighting seem so soft and more colourful. Looks cold, but beautiful.
