Reminds me of my childhood in East Yorkshire, next to the River Humber, where we often had icicles growing from power cables and gutters. We used to get periods of 3 weeks when we were beset by freezing fog.
Stay warm, Lynette.
Thanks, Stuart. 🙂 We can get freezing fog here at times as well (we’re on the shores of the world’s tenth largest lake, so it has a big impact on local weather).
Thank you! 🙂 It’s not too cold yet; only about -6 or so, but I’ve noticed that it’s slowly dropping. By December we will be facing the real northern deep freeze, though.
We got cold here over the last 10 days, but we’re warming up this week to the mid 60s (17c) and all sunshine. I might even wear shorts one more time. 😁
Wow! Shorts! I wish. 🙂 I’m starting to think about organising my boots, mitts, etc. I won’t need my parka for a while (not cold enough yet) but it’s coming.
😇
We had a beautiful full moon here. It is a special day for us: we cook a sweet (Kheer) and keep it under moonlight for sometime before eating 😊

Sounds wonderful! 🙂 It’s clear here as well and there’s a very good view of this rare moon. I hope you had a good evening. 🙂

For some reason, that’s made me want to carve a sabretooth cat from ice!

Hahaha. 😀 That would be very appropriate!

“Ice fangs”! Great name for them. Do you follow Sarah McGurk’s blog? (https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/67735639/posts/2996748676) I think you’d like it.

That’s a great idea! Can use them as swizzle sticks, too. 😉

They do look like fangs, now that you mention it!
Reminds me of the comic where Snoopy is on his doghouse and an icicle looms over him. 😀

Hahaha. 😀 I forgot about that. Your reminder gave me a nice chortle. I miss Snoopy.
