Another Road

I added three photos of roads to my last post, and here’s another, just for fun. It’s a favourite from a couple of years back and was taken above the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. I love the fact that M and I headed off on a dirt road into all those tall yellow trees. It was a hidden gem of real beauty.

Except for the colours, there’s nothing much of Halloween in this picture. A good route for a ghoul though as they do have to make their escape by midnight tomorrow.

Here’s another photo from the same drive.

Happy Halloween! May you enjoy a chocolate or two and be the subject of few or no tricks. ๐ŸŽƒ

  1. Don’tcha just love going down roads you’ve never traveled before? My husband and I do that on a leisurely drive, or even just around streets we haven’t gone down in town before.
    Great photos.
Merry Christmas….Oh wait, I forgot, it’s not Christmas yet. We have a blizzard going on here. Expecting a half-foot of snow by trick-or-treat time. The biggest snow in Halloween history. The most we ever got on Halloween before was a 1/2 inch.
    HAPPY HALLOWEEN. ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‘ป

    1. Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

We do that a lot! Just explore around our own neighbourhood. So interesting what you can find.

Yikes! I looked it up – thatโ€™s 15 cm of snow. Thatโ€™s a lot! We had snow last weekend (about 3 cm; a half inch is 1.2 cm) that was almost completely gone by Halloween. Itโ€™s so strange that places much further south than us are getting much colder and snowier weather. So your trick or treaters had to wear parkas under their outfits? I thought it was only us northern types who had to do that!

      1. I thought it was only you northern types that had to wear the parkas on Halloween, too. I think we broke a record for the most snow on Halloween. It’s all melted now, cause it’s a bit early and the ground was still warm.

        Anyway, happy exploring. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Hi Kenny, I didnโ€™t want to comment since you said you didnโ€™t think you deserved that. I think you were being rather hard on yourself though. You are very welcome and try to be good to yourself. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I love the pics, and the fact you like to explore. Small typo in first paragraph for you to catch. The one picture reminded me of Jewel lake, when my son and I drove up a half baked logging road to catch the view.

  3. Love those roads! Beautiful and spooky:) We did enjoy some chocolate, but we have so much leftover candy! We’ll have to do reverse trick or treating in our neighborhood. Cheers!
