Yellow leaves, so pretty and so short-lived

So bright in their autumn-clothed glory

Last gasp before a deep, restful slumber …

Have the best best of me now; I am here only for a little …

Fall has such a beauty about it. Thanks for sharing the beautiful trees of yellow. It has truly been a long time since Arkansas produced a colorful Fall. The weather and rains have not been in tune for this to happen.

I love autumn, especially in the Okanagan Valley of B.C. where it’s such a lovely slide into winter. Here in the north where I work, it’s very abrupt and fast. I have to enjoy it while it’s here!

Sounds like Fall is beautiful in B.C. I know in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho where I grew up – Fall was always gorgeous.

Leaves haven’t started to change colors very much where I live (Pennsylvania), but soon they will.

I am at 63 degrees N latitude, a fair bit from Pennsylvania, so you have a while still. 😉 But when you start enjoying your colours, I’ll be wearing a parka. 😳

Really gorgeous contrasts of color. Things are just starting to change in North Carolina. I thought your words were such a nice touch. Love ❤️ J

Thank you for the lovely comment. 🙂 Autumn does not last very long this far north (63° N latitude) so we have to enjoy it while we can.

Lovely colors. This is one of the few things I miss about Oklahoma, as we got to enjoy the changing fall colors for quite a while. Here in Texas, the changing happens in about two days and then it’s done… 😉

Arizona wasn’t big on fall colours when I lived there, either. It’s fast here too, but that’s normal for the north. Most of our leaves have fallen already and a couple of days ago the wind was really cold. I think winter will be upon us soon.

Pretty. No signs of fall here yet. It’s not hot like summer, but the temps have been perfect for this month of September. It’s storming here right now, and I have to leave now and go drive in it for an appointment.
Enjoy the last gasps of fall and have a nice weekend.

Glorious colours. You move into autumn and we’re in spring.

Yes. I love autumn. My home in B.C. has a lovely long one, but here in the north it’s really short. Enjoy your spring. 🙂

Beautiful reflections! I am partial to the golden leaves, especially against a gray or bright blue sky–I just love the contrast. Cheers!

Right? I love bright yellow leaves against a blue sky. Such a wonderful contrast and I find the combination relaxing somehow. 🙂

That color is glorious! Sad it’s so short-lived.

That’s one of the reasons it’s so appreciated, I think. It’s also a reminder that we should slow down a bit and notice the good stuff. 🙂

Thank you. 🙂
The leaves are all gone now and yesterday we had about a cm of lake effect snow – nice and soggy. 😳
