Thanks, Allan. Definitely! The weather warming up at the lower levels, too. We encountered snow at about 1100 metres but it was very patchy at 600. Go Canada Go! 🇨🇦
We encountered patchy snow at about 600 metres (Penticton is at 385) so we definitely can see it from here but don’t have it here – yay! Looking forward to +7 today. Cheers.
Thank you. 😊 Yes, we have been warming up at the lower elevations and today we’re getting 7. During that hike we got to about 1100 metres and encountered a good bit of snow and -3 so we turned back. So nice to be able (for the most part) to get out of the snow.
Your scenery is so lovely. Happy Sunday, Lynette xx

Thank you very much, Jo. It’s the same lake that Bernie posted yesterday. Her picture was taken further north and from higher. 😊 Cheers.

Yes, there are many good hikes in this region and good skiing also if you’re high enough for snow. Cheers.

For better or worse, never snow where I live. I tried skiing years ago, and was told that drop gracefully 🙂

I haven’t skied in many years now and was never very good at it when I did. There’s lots of skiing in the mountains around here, though.

That’s quite a temperature range! Good thing for “layering” I would imagine 😊

It is! Penticton is at 385 metres and the surrounding mountains rise to 2200 at Apex Ski Resort which is nearby. Lots of layering required. 🙂

I did, thanks. 😊 I hope you did, too. This hike was just up the lake from where we live. So fortunate to have such good trails nearby.

Yes, you can see the lake from great vantage points along this trail. It’s an old railway line that has been repurposed. Cheers.
