Haha. 😊 We have seen lots of soaring and flying, sometimes right in front of us, but they haven’t chased us yet! Actually, they are very adroit at keeping an eye on where you are so that they can leave if you get too close.
They are nesting next door. Two eaglets screeching every day. I’ll be glad when they leave the nest and we get our peace and quiet back. Beautiful birds though.
Yes, I bet the young ones are loud! We’ve been waking up to them “chatting” away but that’s quite pleasant sounding. No hungry babies that we’ve heard! Cheers.
We are on Haida Gwaii right now and are seeing so many, many of them. This morning I awakened to the “chatting” that they do. They are so beautiful; I could endlessly watch them!
Thank you very much, Barbara. We have been very fortunate to see so many on this trip. At one point we saw about 20 of them all at once. When mating and the rearing of young is finished, they are very social and like to interact with each other and do a lot of chatting. They love fish – especially salmon – and consequently they like to live near water. We saw a couple of them in the water at low tide, so they clearly don’t have a problem with it.
I Love Eagles a lot!! ❤

Always a thrill to see the eagles, un less of course, you are the object of their attention. Have a great Saturday Lynette. Allan

Pictures like this make it clear why this is America’s bird.

They are impressive when sitting on a branch looking around but the soaring and gliding they do is brilliant. So beautiful.

Thank you very much, Linda. I was cursing the fact that I didn’t have my camera along – I took this with my cell – but I still like the visual effect.

Great picture! I’ve never seen one in the wild – only in zoos – I’m not sure I knew that they liked being near the sea!

Thank you very much. Lillie. I’ve been trying to get good eagle photos for a long time now, but I usually miss them as well!
