While in Toronto, M and I went to a Blue Jays baseball game.

The game was in the Rogers Centre in downtown Toronto and was much more fun than watching it on television.

Lots of blue jay blue …

… with an open retractable roof …

… and a very competitive game …

… made it well worth attending.
Happy Tuesday.
I can see the appeal of attending alive game, but, I’ve never been a baseball fan. Looks like the perfect day for a game. Happy Tuesday Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan. I’m not really a fan but M is. I really enjoyed this though as it was a fun experience being among so many enthusiastic fans. I was surprised that I liked it so much.

Looks like fun. It’s been a long time since I went to a ballpark, there’s nothing quite like it.

I agree; there’s nothing quite like it. I hadn’t been to a live ball game in a very long time and this was such fun.

Love the pictures of the game, Lynette. Looks like you had good seats.

I haven’t been to a real ballgame like that, ever. I loved playing baseball (small time, as a kid) and yet have never been to a big game. They don’t happen as much on the northwest coast, especially on the island, so the TV version is mostly what we get here. What a great time you must have had at this game!

This was my first live, professional baseball game, and yes, I enjoyed it a lot, much more than seeing it on tv. I’m actually not much of a fan, but M is, and I’m glad I went along. The crowd is of course very enthusiastic and that’s infectious and fun.

A unique experience, even if you’re not a super fan.

We rarely go to games in person, but they really are fun to attend. On a side note, the sky looks so blue there.

They sure are, Lori! M is the baseball fan, but I’m glad I went along as it was very enjoyable. Yes, that was a gorgeous day; comfortably warm and sunny.

Looks like a gorgeous day, which would have made the experience more fun. Like you, I’m not a huge fan, so I am not sure I would spend the money, but the crowd would/could make it interesting.

It was a beautiful out and really the iconic baseball weather. M is a big fan and has followed the Jays for many years, so this was mainly for him but I certainly got caught up in it too. We decided not to exchange presents (birthdays, etc) with the idea that we can then spend on things like this.

I’m not really into baseball, but I don’t mind going to a game every so often. It can be fun with the right company and the other fans around you.

It’s very much the same for me, Linda. I’m not a fan really but I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was definitely fun.

I’m not a fan either, but I find myself wondering who they played, and who won?!? You implied it was close, which makes it more interesting.

Sorry about that not passing on that info. They played Tampa Bay and lost 5-4, but won against them the next day. So yes, it was a close game and great to watch, even though I’m not much of a fan.
