Beautiful photo. I wish older buildings were preserved. I don’t know about Canada, but in the US older buildings are usually torn down and replaced rather than preserved.

I think that it can really depend on what part of the country you’re in, but generally, I would say that wherever possible, older buildings are brought up to code and re-purposed.

Thank you. We’re better at preserving older buildings than in the past but still lose many to gentrification.
