I saw this lovely flutterer while out walking.

I tried to find out what type of butterfly this is – it bears some resemblance to a white monarch – but I’m not sure and to me there seem to be differences.

Regardless of its type, it sure is beautiful. I followed it around for a bit, trying to get photos as it went about its nectar-collecting day; it was so lovely to see.
Happy Saturday.
What a beauty!

Lovely butterfly! Seeing the flower brings back good memories – I used to sip on its stems when I was a child because of its nectar.

Glad the photo brought back good memories. 🙂 I remember doing that as a child, too. Cheers.

Yes it is not a monarch. I had a bunch of them coming around my place for a while this summer and I took pics and posted them. They told me the name, but darn it. I forget now. Well, you will find out. Nice pics that you post, by the way. 🙂

Amazing creatures Lynette. Nice to see the butterflies from down in the tropics. Happy Weekend. Allan

They really are. So delicate that I’m surprised they live as long as they do. Have a good weekend, Allan (maybe a less rainy one?). Cheers.

Thanks, Linda. I still am not sure what kind it is (I only have my phone with me and set to airplane to avoid roaming charges, so I haven’t done a proper search) but will do a good one when I’m back home. Cheers.
