The sky has been putting on a bit of a show lately.

A full moon …

… and a full moon plus Jupiter, which is on the very edge of the right side of this photo.
It’s a good time to sky-watch, if it’s warm enough where you are.
Happy Tuesday.

Skywatching at night is enjoyable no matter the temperature…at least for a few minutes. 🙂 Interesting effect around the tree in the first shot.

I’m always cautious about temperatures having spent six winters in the subarctic. The northern lights are stunning, but you do have to dress for them; new-to-the-north southerners regularly experience minor frostbite. 🙂 Yes, I liked how the cloud was almost a visual extension of the tree. Cheers.

Such deep blue skies. Good weather on travels is a blessing and the time to look at skies is a gift. Happy Tuesday Lynette. Allan

Thanks, Allan It sure is. We’ve had a few showers but for the most part the weather has been really great.

Great photos. I saw the moon last night, no clouds in the sky for once, but it was too cold to step outside and try to snap a pic of it. I just enjoyed its beauty from afar.

Thank you very much, Ally. Sometimes, admiring from the comfort of inside is the best. When I lived in the north, getting pictures of the northern lights was a bit of a challenge, including keeping the camera warm! Cheers.

I often wonder what those bright single “stars” (planets) are, but I don’t know enough about them to name them. Nice photos of a very interesting sky.

Thanks, Anneli. I’m not particularly knowledgeable either. I look to see what’s coming up and try to do a capture if the weather is clear. Cheers.

Nice shots of the night sky. It’s become a bit too cold and cloudy here to stargaze. We already have some snow.

Yes, I saw that there’s some snow going on. It’s Canada; it’s inevitable. I only went skygazing in cold weather if the northern lights were putting on a good show. Then it was worth it!

I bet! I wouldn’t hesitate to venture outside in the cold to watch the northern lights.
